Celebrating the glories of gothic style and attitude, this tarot deck will help any goth find their true path.
Are you ready to journey towards self-knowledge and a more profound understanding of your place in the world? Combining traditional tarot iconography with a unique goth aesthetic, this set of 78 cards works as a fully functioning tarot deck (accompanied by a 40-page guidebook).
Presented in an elegant gift box with sophisticated artwork from illustrator – and goth – Natalie Foss, this deck brings the magic of tarot to pros and beginners alike; illustrating classic tarot visuals in an all-new way. The 22 cards of the traditional Major Arcana, take you on a journey from the Fool to the World and are a proven way to address life’s challenges. The 54-card Minor Arcana, consisting of suits of Wands, Pentacles, Cups and Swords, help you to understand your creative, material, emotional and rational self. All are explained and demystified in the accompanying book, written by a seasoned tarot practitioner (and ex-goth) Stephen Baird.
It’s been almost a year since I was commissioned to write the words for a new tarot deck by a relatively new imprint of Thames & Hudson, Skittledog Books.
This was completely out of the blue and such a shock at the time, but I was so honoured that they chose me to do this for them I threw myself into the task with great energy and hope.
As usual I’ll show of nine cards to give a good selection of the designs of the deck and then play with the deck for a month or so to get an idea of it with this post being pinned and added to as I explore it.
